There’s a whole lot of dialogue in this soap opera-style series, and the actors play it like it really matters. It involves a family (not really a weird one, despite the name) and their very tangled relations. The central problem is that the dad (unseen) can’t accept daughter Heather Starlet as a lesbian. Neither can stepmom Zoe Holloway. Everything evolves from that conflict.

Heather and Cherie DeVille have the most passionate sex scene, ending with a leg-hump that leaves them both limp. Cherie also gets it on with Heather’s younger sister, Cassie Laine, and the scene is more playful than hot, perhaps fittingly given the age differential.

Zoey as the put upon stepmom is funny and believable in a non-sex performance that would fit right into any cable-TV sitcom.
