But on other hand, the sex is especially harsh. Even the behind the scenes feature is harsh ... but I'm getting ahead of myself.
For the most part, Filth and Fury definitely lives up to its title. When it gets going, it really gets going. From oral sex that features plugging the ladies' noses to boob slapping (and I'm talking about some hard ass slapping here), the sex is almost too rough. Almost.
The narrative, if you can call it that, is bizarre. The film starts out at 5:30 in the morning with Rita Faltoyano kneeling, her head to the ground, as her lover reads the paper. He heads off to work at 7:30 and comes home at 5:30pm and, you guessed it, Rita is still kneeling on the floor. He bypasses her, heads upstairs, sits down in a chair, then snaps his fingers. Once.
The next thing you know, she's crawling up the stairs as if her life depended on it. She proceeds, of course, to ravage the guy. This, is, really, the high point of the entire film, as the rest of the scenes are no less bizarre, but a lot more rough.
The obvious theme of submission and domination ties together the rest of the movie. Otherwise, it's a bunch of David Lynch-ian scenes strung together into the semblence of narrative.
For fans of rough sex and submission/domination, there's no question that this one's an easy pickup.
