OK, let me explain: Shane's World DVDs are resolutely gonzo. They're essentially reality TV with sex, following a carload of horny-wacky Shane's World stars from one college campus to another, where they boink their hearts out while coaxing shy college dudes into receiving handjobs.
There are two reasons to like that formula:
One, the sex in Shane's World is happy, fun and affectionate. The stars spend most of their scenes talking about how hot their scene partners are.
Two, handjobs are safe. I adore the way they promote the joy of sex while promoting safer-sex practices. That's where the anti-gonzo part lies. There's a lot of rough stuff in the gonzo market today, and while some of it is very hot -- it ain't for everyone. I find it refreshing to come across a production company that focuses on the simple joy of attractive people and not on the physical limits of penetration.
That said, The Girl Next Door delivers on all the usual Shane's World levels -- happy handjobs and wacky sex -- while also including, of all things, naked skydiving.
