Sure, you'll learn a few tidbits here and there -- Does Monique Alexander like to watch her own scenes? -- but it's nothing substantial like the stuff you'll find in Vivid's other big release, Chemistry, which really cuts to the core of adult performers.
I have to give props, however, to Steven St. Croix. He's got great comic timing, and I'd be curious to see how he'd fare in a mainstream movie.
But back to Dinner Party: The sex scenes are good here. Veteran director Paul Thomas stages the action well, with the best scene being the threeway between newcomer Monique Alexander, Alicia Angel and Jack Lawrence. It's a long scene, but to Thomas' credit, it's never boring.
All in all, the cast is decent and the sex is good, but skip the appetizers and go straight to the meal.
Starring Monique Alexander, Alicia Angel, T.J. Hart, Daryn Darby, Jack Lawrence, Christian, Derrick Price and Steven St. Croix.
Extras: Shot in high-definition, anamorphic widescreen 16:9, no regional encoding, photo gallery and trailers.
