In desperation, ASS enlists the aid of the first-ever female American spy (Austyn Moore) to inflitrate the Luftwaffe and stop the enemy at all costs.
The two-disk Tailgunners is a big budget release from Adam and Eve that employs some nifty special effects to weave its "tail" (sorry, couldn't resist the pun).
While some of the special effects in the flight and air battle sequences leave a lot to be desired (it's painfully obvious that we're watching toy planes with plastic action figures in them), writer/director Nick Orleans does manage to wrangle some good results from his use of minatures in lieu of locations.
Carmen Luvana is a winner as the evil German dominatrix intent on taking Austyn out at all costs, even if it means ravaging her with a large dildo. And the rest of the cast, including Vanessa Lane, Katja Kassin and Harmony, give it their all.
The film itself is a bit of a camp masterpiece (and I mean that in a good way). For every embarrassingly bad moment, there were three that made me laugh at Orleans' sense of humor and knowledge of classic movies.
For example, there's a German plane fueling sequence that has to be seen to be believed, wherein the refueling boom resembles a long penis as it snakes its way toward the pink gas tank, fumbling its way around the hole until it triumphantly plunges in. Another scene shows an American G.I. receiving oral and saluting as he climaxes. Classic!
Also, do yourself a favor and check out the informative director's notebook on the special features disk. It's a standout.
