Stripchat Doubles Payouts for Italian Models

Stripchat Doubles Payouts for Italian Models

LOS ANGELES — Following Monday's announcement from the Italian government, which placed the entire country on lockdown in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, Stripchat has announced that it will double payout for Italian models.

Currently, Stripchat plans to offer the increased payout rate through the month of March, but has said it will consider limiting or extending the offer, pending when the lockdown is lifted.

Both new and existing models based in Italy will qualify for these increased payments. Reps say that the offer aimed at providing an amplified revenue stream for Italian models, while simultaneously anticipating increased demand by Italian consumers.

“The adult industry needs to find ways to support those in our workforce who are affected by these quarantines and shutdowns,” said Max Bennet, VP of new media for Stripchat. “Adult businesses are likely to see an increase in traffic over the next few weeks and we need to do what we can to help support models in this time of need.”

Stripchat further announced that it would consider offering a similar bonus to models of other countries should similar public health orders be enacted.

Additionally, Stripchat is offering new users a free virtual date with a model of their choice. New users can contact Stripchat’s representatives via new.user@stripchat.com to receive credits worth 10 minutes of private chat with a performer.

“It’s a bit unconventional," remarked Bennet, "but it’s the type of stimulus that works exceeding well for the crisis. On one hand, you have millions of people, many of whom might live alone, in need of companionship. On the other, you have models in need of income. Let’s get them together and keep everyone safe.

"A virus can’t travel through a laptop, but an emotional connection can.”
