FSC: Lil' Help?

The Free Speech Coalition (FSC) has reached a new level of relevance by meeting adult businesses where they live and tackling the real issues of importance to the adult entertainment community. Issues like:

Piracy— FSC’s Antipiracy Action Program (APAP) has more than a dozen of the top Alexa rated tubesites signed on to our program. Our monetization program utilizes state-of-the-art technology to prevent pirated content from being uploaded and provides content providers with a new revenue stream. FSC also brought the folks from Porn-Guardian into the program utilizing their considerable resources to address torrents, cyberlockers and P2P sites. Finally, the adult entertainment community has a comprehensive, cost effective, industrywide approach to piracy. To find out more about FSC’s APAP go to www.FSCAPAP.com.

But, every now and then the challenges exceed our financial resources and that’s when we ask for… Lil’ help?

.XXX— Continues to haunt the adult entertainment industry as many adult business owners feel trapped with the dilemma of purchasing their domain names in .XXX to protect their brand and traffic. FSC continues to fight the TLD on a national and international basis through lobbying and potential litigation and has launched a “Just say no” campaign explaining to adult professionals why purchasing a .XXX domain name may be the worst investment they could ever make. To find out more about the .XXX “Just say no” campaign, check out our blog at https://fscblogger.wordpress.com/.

CalOSHA— When an overzealous non-profit in search of fame and fortune set their sights on the adult entertainment industry they decided to use CalOSHA as their weapon of choice. AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), a non-profit famous for frivolous lawsuits, serial press conferences and ridiculous protests, has set its sights on the adult entertainment community. They have filed a number of workplace safety complaints against adult producers. FSC has been working to expose this political posturing and bring the truth about our industry’s solid record of workplace safety to those in the state government ultimately responsible for oversight. We have conducted studies and hired professional consultants who specialize in workplace safety issues. We have developed an industry appropriate bloodborne pathogen plan and a workplace safety handbook for adult businesses. This has been a long and tedious fight but we have and will continue to be there every step of the way to speak for the adult entertainment industry — we’ve got your back.

2257— FSC has filed an appeal in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in our ongoing effort to rid the adult industry of this overbroad and over burdensome record-keeping law. Our attorneys Michael Murray and Loraine Baumgardner are working tirelessly to help alleviate the strain that this onerous law imposes on the adult entertainment community.

These are just a few of the issues that FSC is tackling for the industry. Thank you to those who have gone above and beyond in helping FSC with our efforts, Girlfriends Films, Wicked Pictures, Adam and Eve and more — all have contributed greatly to our success through their generous donations. If you aren’t a member, please join and if you are a member and are able to donate, your gifts are desperately needed and greatly appreciated. We are proud to be a part of this great industry and find great satisfaction in standing up for good people who work within it. But, every now and then the challenges exceed our financial resources and that’s when we ask for… Lil’ help?

Growing Site Revenue Under Ever-Changing Compliance Rules

Over the past year, many merchants have reported earnings that were flat or even a bit down. This is due to three main factors: age verification regulations, click-to-cancel rules, and banks backing away from cross-sales due to regulatory requirements and the rollout of the Visa Acquiring Monitoring Program (VAMP).

How to Build Operational Resilience Into Your Payment Ecosystem

Over the past year, we’ve watched adult merchants weather a variety of disruptions and speedbumps. Some even lost entire revenue streams overnight — simply because they relied too heavily on a single cloud provider that suffered an outage, lacked sufficient redundancy and failover, or otherwise fell short when it came to making sure their business was protected in case of unwelcome surprises.
