Pornnhub's Jade Talks Trust and Community

Pornnhub's Jade Talks Trust and Community

If you’ve ever interacted with Jade at Pornhub, you already know one thing to be true: Whether you’re coordinating an event, confirming deliverables or simply trying to get an answer quickly, things move more smoothly when she’s involved. Emails get answered. Details are confirmed. Deadlines don’t drift. And through it all, her tone remains warm, friendly and grounded.

That combination — precision paired with genuine humanity — has become Jade’s quiet calling card inside the adult industry.

Working with models to bring them new and exciting opportunities has proved very rewarding. Their excitement is contagious when they get to sign at events, win a contest or get featured in a blog or marketing campaign — and I get to be at the receiving end of their joy.

Currently serving as Product Marketing Coordinator for Pornhub, Jade sits at the intersection of creator relations, marketing operations and brand execution. It’s a role that requires flexibility, trust and constant motion, and she approaches it with a level of organization that makes complex workflows feel effortless.

Opportunity Knocks

Jade’s Pornhub story actually started in 2017, about five years before she became an employee. She happened to have gone to school with Aria Nathaniel, better known as brand ambassador Pornhub Aria.

“Through that connection, I got the opportunity to join her and others for an SFW photo shoot celebrating Pornhub’s 10th anniversary,” Jade explains. “Years later, I responded to a job posting and went through the standard interview process. I was then hired as a model recruiter.”

She came equipped with both academic and real-world experience, holding an undergraduate degree in psychology and a graduate-level diploma in human resources management. She also had prior industry experience, having planned and co-hosted local adult events.

“While I didn’t specifically seek out employment in this industry, it feels like there was some invisible force that pulled me towards it,” she reflects. “As someone who has always been open-minded and nonjudgmental, I embraced the opportunity with open arms.”

Choosing the name “Jade” came down to practicality and efficiency.

“When I first started as a Pornhub employee, I was given the opportunity to choose a work alias. I chose Jade because my given name, Kathryn, was always being misspelled. I wanted to ensure I would actually receive the emails intended for me!”

Taking Point

After Jade had spent a year of working as a model recruiter, a new marketing manager, named Freedom, joined the company.

“After we collaborated on some projects, he recommended that I apply for the product marketing coordinator role,” she recalls.

Marketing wasn’t technically her lane yet, but the instincts were already there.

“The position hadn’t been on my radar up until that point,” she admits. “I had never specifically worked in marketing. But I’d loved all of my undergraduate marketing classes. As it turned out, Freedom saw many strengths I brought to the table and thought I would be a great fit for the position.”

These days, Jade partners with Freedom — now Pornhub’s content and community manager — on a wide range of creator-facing initiatives. Jade lays much of the operational groundwork: timelines, trackers, copy docs, asset pulls and approval routing. However, she insists that the best part of her job is the people she works with and has met along the way.

“I can say without hesitation that I have only met and worked with colleagues and models who have the kindest hearts,” Jade attests. “I’m incredibly lucky to have only had positive interactions with every single person.”

It helps that she’s intentional about how she shows up in those interactions.

“As a self-proclaimed people person, it’s important for me that those around me know and feel that I’m someone trustworthy they can confide in and look to for help whenever they need,” she says. I think my genuine love of people and sincere desire to support everyone and cheer them on has been the key to my ability to foster healthy and mutually beneficial working relationships.”

Internally at the company, that means being the person who keeps a dozen moving parts aligned. Externally, it means being a steady, responsive point of contact for models and managers — some of whom may be messaging her from three different continents before breakfast.

Proud Moments and Big Wins

Jade takes pride in many of the things Pornhub has achieved. One major milestone stands out for her in particular.

“As of June 30, 2025, all content on Pornhub has verified ID and consent for all performers,” she notes. “Content that did not meet our standards was disabled and removed from the site. It’s something that I regularly brag about outside of office hours. I’m proud to work for a company that continues to set the standards of what a safer internet should look like.”

Just as meaningful to her are the creator-focused successes.

“We’ve been able to bring so much value to the model community through our work on so many new projects, contests and events,” she marvels. “Working with models to bring them new and exciting opportunities has proved very rewarding. Their excitement is contagious when they get to sign at events, win a contest or get featured in a blog or marketing campaign — and I get to be at the receiving end of their joy.”

Catch Her If You Can

Jade’s work rhythm keeps her jumping around between tasks and projects while regularly shifting priorities.

“I love the variety it brings,” she says. “Fortunately, my organizational skills are one of the strengths I bring to my role and the team.”

Jade’s momentum isn’t just metaphorical. While most people sit and grind through inboxes, Jade clocks miles, performing her rapid swivel between emails, approvals, asset sourcing, creator outreach and internal coordination all while working at her standing desk and using her walking pad.

“I’m able to get between 10 and 15 thousand steps in during my work hours,” she confides. “I also use my lunch hour for my daily weight-training workout. I love to stay active and constantly push myself mentally and physically.”

That would seem to explain where Jade gets so much energy. By the time most people hit a midday slump, she’s gearing up for another round — a helpful trait for someone whose job keeps her running, thanks to being involved in nearly every creator-facing initiative at Pornhub.

“From marketing campaigns, apparel launches and industry events, to blog posts and brand collaborations with our sister companies, if you’re being asked to work on a project with us, more likely than not, that email is coming from Jade,” she affirms.

As a perennial point person, responsiveness has become a personal standard for her.

“I have models and managers, with whom I’m working on projects, who message me early in the morning and late at night due to our time-zone differences. But because I love efficiency and prompt communications, it’s important to me that I never leave anyone waiting for an answer or information they need from me.”

Back in the Saddle

When she’s off the clock and off the work treadmill — both figuratively and literally — Jade brings the same level of intention to her life as a solo parent.

“Work-life balance is incredibly important for everyone,” she says. “But especially for me because I’m responsible for another human’s well-being and development. I’m very fortunate that Pornhub allows us to work flex hours, so I can choose to start my day any time between 8 and 10:30 a.m. I choose to work from 8 to 4 every day, so I’m home and available when my daughter finishes school.”

Not that being off the clock slows Jade down. Her life outside the office reads like a highlight reel of high-energy hobbies: track and field, skiing, drag racing, motocross — plus a recent triumphant return to horseback riding after 20 years away.

“Being back on a horse has made me realize that it’s never too late to continue a previously loved activity, whereas starting track and field as an adult proved to me that it’s also never too late to discover a new passion,” Jade enthuses. “And the best part is: I get to enjoy most of these activities with my daughter — who has also developed a love for variety and constant movement, just like me!”

Having achieved both satisfaction and rare equilibrium in her own work, Jade doesn’t hesitate to encourage other women to explore the business side of adult.

“Go for it!” she says. “This industry is such a warm and welcoming one to join.”

How Adult Businesses Can Navigate Global Compliance Demands

The internet has made the world feel small. Case in point: Adult websites based in the U.S. are now getting letters from regulators demanding compliance with foreign laws, even if they don’t operate in those countries. Meanwhile, some U.S. website operators dealing with the patchwork of state-level age verification laws have considered incorporating offshore in the hopes of avoiding these new obligations — but even operators with no physical presence in the U.S. have been sued or threatened with claims for not following state AV laws.

Building Sustainable Revenue Without Opt-Out Cross-Sales

Over the past year, we’ve seen growing pushback from acquirers on merchants using opt-out cross-sales — also known as negative option offers. This has been especially noticeable in the U.S. In fact, one of our acquirers now declines new merchants during onboarding if an opt-out flow is detected. Existing merchants submitting new URLs with opt-out cross-sales are being asked to remove them.

How to Handle Payment Disputes Without Sacrificing Trust

You can run the best-managed and most compliant website out there, but that still doesn’t completely shield you from the risks tied to payment disputes. Buyer’s remorse, an unclear billing description or even a simple misunderstanding can lead a customer to dispute a transaction.
