Carmunity Helps Webmasters Go Mobile

BREMEN, Germany – Mobile solutions provider Carmunity.com has announced the release of mobileABC, aimed at adult webmasters interested in capitalizing on the rapidly growing adult mobile Internet.

Carmunity.com currently offers several adult mobile web portals, reportedly generating 90 percent of its end-user sales from International markets.

"Everyone knows how important successful positioning in this huge growth market will be, and several adult brands will soon be launching with us," Wolfgang Schlösser, CEO of Carmunity.com, said. "In order to successfully market mobile portals, you need to know your markets well."

Based upon this experience, the team at Carmunity.com developed the mobile Adult Business Concept – a full-service, end-to-end product, into which mobile applications as well as global billing and content management are bundled.

The letter 'A' stands for its award-winning live cam Application, which is available as a white-label solution for online portals. This player is claimed to be the largest in Europe, with over 800 channels including the VISIT-X live cam portal.

MobileABC offers each country its own design for the live cam Java-application.

'A' also stands for Advertising, which in association with mobile search engine marketing (mSEM) and mobile search engine optimization (mSEO), constitute a significant element of mobileABC, enabling webmaster to gain high rankings with mobile search.

'B' stands for Billing, and here too Carmunity.com has extensive experience, allowing mobileABC customers to offer direct operator billing in all 26 countries that currently support it, with new markets opening in the future. For the rest of the world, regular credit card billing is supported, allowing mobile content to be sold to a global audience.

'C' stands for Content management, with mobileABC allowing users to create and manage mobile campaigns using a Content Management System (CMS) that offers both country and language recognition; supports over 8000 handsets types; and serves both censored and uncensored content. The content service also allows webmasters to easily sell their own content, which is automatically reformatted to suit various mobile devices.

One challenge faced by operators is staying abreast of legal and other requirements, with the reality being that every country has its own unique billing and child protection laws.

"Over the years, we have gathered extensive experience in this space and we are now delighted to be in a position to share that experience with others," Schlösser said. "Furthermore, the market is now finally mature enough. There are enough handsets which make mobile surfing possible, and the tariffs for data continue to fall month-by-month."

Schlösser and his team will be demonstrating mobileABC at the EuroWebtainment show in Mallorca, Spain on May 8-11.
