SWR Data Publishes 'Creator Income' Report

LOS ANGELES — Adult industry market researcher SWR Data has published a report on creator income trends.

According to the report, titled “How Much Money Do Creators Actually Make?” adult creators earned, on average, about $59,000 from work on OnlyFans and other sites in the past year, based on SWR’s most recent survey of 550 adult creators, who were asked about their income over the past year, as well as which areas of the industry and which platforms they worked in.

“The numbers rebut sensational claims used to attack the adult creator economy,” said a rep. “Religious groups and anti-porn feminists have repeatedly claimed the average OnlyFans creator earns just $150 per month, accusing the platform of exploitation.”

SWR Data co-founder MelRose Michaels elaborated on creator incomes.

“While some creators are making millions selling feet pics or bathwater, the average income from adult content sales is closer to $5,000 a month,” said Michaels. “Sex work is work, and at the heart of the adult creator community are hundreds of thousands of small, independent creators building their businesses one clip at a time.”

Added SWR Data co-founder Mike Stabile, “In state after state, we see politicians use bad data to push even worse policies. The more we know the community, the better it can advocate for itself. The data shows that it’s time to bury outdated myths and work toward policies that help creators thrive.”
