LOS ANGELES — xHamster has announced the debut of its new “Night Mode,” intended to provide a better, more private viewing experience.

According to the company, its Night Mode allows fans to watch xHamster in the dark, “without alerting the neighbors, roommate or your wife,” by switching to a low-light black background.

“xHamster fans deserve privacy when they’re watching, uploading or chatting,” says VP Alex Hawkins. “We know most of our users visit the site late at night, and too many porn sites light up the room when you log on. We believe that if you’re watching a cuckold stepmom gangbang at 2 a.m., it’s nobody’s business but your own!”

“Studies show that porn is good for you, but watching a bright screen at night is not!” Hawkins adds.  “We’re excited to be able to offer xHamster fans a way to watch their favorite Irish granny threesome or muscular babysitter pegging videos without lighting up the entire room.”

Hawkins says xHamster has been an advocate for porn privacy since its inception and was among the first porn sites to switch to the secure HTTPS protocol, which keeps fans’ video habits better protected, and also backed the Minimeyes motion sensor, which hides the porn browser when someone walks into the viewing room unexpectedly.

Over the past decade, xHamster has helped millions of people who are trying to evade government bans, corporate blocks, and non-secure internet in repressive countries worldwide. Most recently, it fought the Digital Economy Act in the U.K. — the so-called Snooper’s Charter which would require porn users to be listed in a database.

The new Night Mode is available in a beta version of xHamster’s new website and is now available to registered users before being released for general use. To set up Night Mode, login and activate it from the menu next to upload button.
