LOS ANGELES — Pineapple Support is hosting a free online support group for performers with children.
The six-week “Effective Parenting” group will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Dr. Tracy Moore and will begin on Monday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. PST. Sessions will take place weekly at the same time.
“Parenting is both challenging and rewarding, and it requires patience, flexibility, and a real commitment to a child’s wellbeing and long-term growth,” said Moore. “In this group, we’ll explore how to balance discipline with understanding, encourage independence, and model positive behavior, while building the active listening, empathy, and open communication that foster trust and connection between parents and children.”
Pineapple Support founder Leya Tanit added, “Many people in our industry are also parents, juggling demanding and often unconventional work alongside raising their children. This group gives them a supportive, judgment-free space to share their experiences, learn practical tools, and feel more confident in helping their children develop life skills, self-confidence, and resilience.”
