Danni’s Hard Drive to Use BPAV.org Seal on Box Covers, Video Screens

LOS ANGELES — Danni’s Hard Cut, part of the Danni’s Hard Drive family, is the latest adult production company to add the voluntary Best Practices in Adult Video (BPAV.org) seal on DVD box covers.

“We are proud to support the mission of BPAV,” Danni.com Vice President of Operations Layne Thrasher wrote in his statement of support on behalf of Danni.com. “Our company was founded based on the very same beliefs and values as those listed by BPAV. In an era of increased scrutiny towards our industry, we applaud these self-regulation standards.”

Launched by XBIZ Publisher Alec Helmy, BPAV aims to send a positive message to critics of adult entertainment and the public at large by promoting professionalism and ethical practices in content production and the treatment of performers.

To endorse the idea of best practices within the industry, companies can download the BPAV seal from https://www.BPAV.org/support.html. The seal can be placed on websites, box covers, printed material and video intros on DVDs.

Danni’s Hard Cut joins a growing list of production companies that have added their voice to the call for responsible production practices. Others who have submitted statements of support and/or added the BPAV seal to their box covers include Platinum Media, 3 Vision Entertainment, Hellhouse Video, X-Worx, Black Widow Productions, Pure Play media, Cuteboy Video, Dave Cummings Productions and Taylor Wane Entertainment.

“It is prudent for producers of adult content to follow best practices as highlighted by the BPAV,” Thrasher told XBIZ. “Our industry has a double-edged sword of having a negative image at times within both political realms, along with the general mainstream perception. Following best practices gives us another way to distinguish ourselves from the unscrupulous few who might tarnish the industry as a whole.”

Danni’s Hard Cut will begin using the BPAV seal on its box covers with the Oct. 10 release of “Anal Adventures: Sorority Sisters.” It then will be used on all titles going forward, including all the company’s lines.

Additionally, Danni.com plans to incorporate the BPAV seal on all its core subscription websites by next week, which include Danni.com, GirlNextDoor.com, MishaOnline.com, EricaCampbell.com and CrystalKlein.com.
