Sex Toy Review Site Launches

LONDON — Sex toy manufacturers and retailers could see their products rise or fall based on words of a few users thanks to the launch of OrgasmArmy.com, a consumer-generated review site that boasts the slogan: “Sex toy reviews by real people.”

According to the site, the Orgasm Army is “leading a crusade against rubbish sex toys and misleading product descriptions.”

Seeking help in its crusade, the site looks to enlist reviewers by the thousands. Users are invited to read and write as many free reviews as they like. In keeping with the military theme, those users looking to get more involved can signup as Orgasm Army Officers, which entitles them to free sex toys in exchange for their honest reviews of various products.

To date, there are more than 1,000 Orgasm Army Officers, who have posted 2,500 reviews, according to the company.

The site runs the gamut, covering sex toys in a variety of categories from Vibrators, to Lubricants, to Sexy Gifts and Games, to Books and Condoms. Each category is in turn broken down into smaller, more navigable sub-categories.

Users not keen to search for their product of choice by category can either enter the product name, or select from a Top 10 list from each category. The Top 10 list is created from a five-star rating system also run by users.

Upon reading a favorable review, the user has the option to purchase the product online.
