UPDATED: Arcom Threatens to Block, Delist 2 Adult Sites Over AV Violation

PARIS — French media regulator Arcom has sent enforcement notices to the operators of two adult websites that the agency says have failed to implement age verification as required under France’s Security and Regulation of the Digital Space (SREN) law.

According to a statement issued Tuesday, at the beginning of December 2025, Arcom sent letters to three adult sites it considered to be in violation of SREN age verification requirements. After a period of a few weeks, the statement notes, two of those sites still had not put any age verification system in place.

The agency has issued a formal notice to both sites, giving them 15 days to comply or face blocking and/or delisting.

The statement does not name the websites or providers involved in the enforcement actions or specify where they are based. According to a French government website, however, the two sites are videosxgays.com and xgroovy.com.

Arcom plans to engage with the third site in order to ensure the effectiveness of its age verification solution.

The agency's statement frames this most recent action as part of Arcom’s previously announced plan to escalate its enforcement of age verification rules to include smaller adult sites.

This article was updated Feb. 5 to include the names of the two websites targeted for enforcement.
