Shoehorn told XBiz the site has only received about 1,000 hits during its first month, though the feedback “has been very positive.”
“Adult webmasters will now have a place to discuss business and personal life without the fear of being banned for not liking the right person, or having their signature revoked,” Shoehorn said. “A few users have already become regulars, and we think that once we get more, the board will really turn into a tight knit community.”
Shoehorn said he became tired of “other boards playing favorites with people” and decided to start a new site with co-founder Chio.
Shoehorn said YankMe.com has been up and running for just over a month and is offering free advertising to almost anyone who wants to help spread the word about the new site. He said offering free advertising is also meant to give those who would not normally be able to advertise a chance to do so.
He added that once the site garners more users, it will launch “a very innovative advertising system that hasn't ever been used before,” though Shoehorn remained quiet on the system’s specifics.
“We think that it will set a new standard for not only how people advertise on bulletin board systems, but how they post as well,” Shoehorn said. “We're really excited about it.”
