SUPERAntiSpyware Inks Deal with Computer Troubleshooters

EUGENE, Oregon. — Security software developer SUPERAntiSpyware announced an agreement with small business information technology franchiser Computer Troubleshooters.

Under the terms of the new agreement, all Computer Troubleshooters franchisees are licensed to use the new SUPERAntiSpyware Portable Edition to help rid clients of harmful spyware infections.

The company said its software focuses on detecting hard to remove spyware that other products often miss, or are unable to safely detect and remove.

“With the increasing complexity and variations of spyware and malware we are seeing, the infections often prevent all scanners from installing or working — we had to come up with a solution,” said Nick Skrepetos, founder of SUPERAntiSpyware.com.

He added, “The portable scanner, which can operate on highly infected systems, is effective as it does not need to be installed, does not require an Internet connection and can run from a USB drive. Computer Troubleshooters technicians have been asking for this type of solution and we’re happy to be able to provide it on an organization-wide level.”

The company said the new portable scanner harnesses the same powerful anti-spyware engine as the Professional Edition of SUPERAntiSpyware and references a spyware definition database that is updated at least once per day. It is free for personal use and technician and corporate licenses are available. The product can be downloaded from Portable.

“We’ve been assembling a set of best-of-breed tools for our Computer Troubleshooters to use in servicing clients,” Computer Troubleshooters CEO Chip Reaves said. “When we wanted to add a malware removal tool, SUPERAntiSpyware was the obvious choice.”
