The added service lets adult content producers further target image searches conducted via the two popular search engines.
Originally launched in February, MyAdultSite lets users upload their content, and MyAdultsite does just about everything else, from HTML formatting to search engine registration. According to the company, most sites are active within one business day.
Version 2.0 of MyAdultSite automatically indexes uploaded content and creates an RSS feed. As part of the feed technology, the company said media is indexed in a format recognized by both Yahoo and Google so that images and video can be found within an image and video search.
“Savvy web surfers have found that by turning off ‘safe search’ on either Google or Yahoo’s image search, they could easily locate tremendous amounts of free adult images,” said a company spokesperson. “MyAdultSite 2.0 capitalizes on this common surfer activity.”
The new service also promises to limit RSS feeds to “Preview” content so that content protected by the membership system will never be exposed to the search engines.
After users sign up for MyAdultsite hosting they can choose from a number of design templates, then upload images and text. Setup costs $50 and monthly hosting fees start at $39.95 per month for 300 Megabytes of storage and four Gigabytes of data transfer. The monthly fee also includes registration with more than 800 search engines, a banner exchange program, webcam capabilities, contact forms, site traffic reports and payment collection through CCBill.
MyAdultSite can also automatically create a slide show of a user’s content, lets users upload entire directories of photos at one time and also creates a customizable shopping cart to sell content and merchandise. Custom templates, detailed traffic reports and an online site advisor are also available.
