Less Is More for Live Cam Member Promotions

Less Is More for Live Cam Member Promotions

Hello everyone! I was sitting on my patio trying to decide on a topic to discuss with the good readers of XBIZ Cam World, and through some sort of divine intervention the daughter of one of my neighbors knocked on the door and offered to sell me raffle tickets for the fundraiser that her school is doing. The prizes were nothing special, but I bought 20 of them because I like her. So it hit me: this time, I’m going to pontificate on how beneficial it is for models to run their own promotions, to try and get more interaction with their fans and ultimately a higher income.

Granted, this is a much different situation than the girl coming to my door to sell raffle tickets, but there are definitely parallels. Your good members already have an established relationship with you, and it’s a win-win for them. You can offer prizes that are more what your fans are looking for, like exclusive videos, photo sets and even a custom video for them. In the end, that is something that will take you a marginal amount of time, while you make your members happy.

I can’t stress this enough — have smaller prizes ... it’s best for more users to have a higher chance of winning something, as this will help you to cast the widest net possible. -Steve Hamilton, Model Manager

Now that social media is a big part of the game, you can always give access to your naughty Snapchat account or your Instagram account. These serve three different purposes — the member is happy, because he feels like he’s a part of your life (an insider of sorts), taking snaps is easy to do (any hour of the day) and you are promoting yourself.

Another popular thing to do is to allow the member to choose the theme of your broadcasting all week, or let him choose your outfits for the week. If he really wants something specific that you don’t already have, you can use an Amazon wish list and get him to purchase it for you. It’s safe and Amazon ships worldwide.

You can make the contest as easy as whoever spends the most on you in a time frame that you decide, or any member that tips a certain amount during your time frame will get entered into a raffle. Or, you can just have a straight up raffle for the prizes. That’s all easy to do and gives members a reason to spend a little extra on you.

I can’t stress this enough — have smaller prizes as well. It’s best for more users to have a higher chance of winning something, as this will help you to cast the widest net possible. If more people have a chance of winning prizes, more members will likely participate. Also, promote the day of the raffle on all of your social media pages as well as your model profile.

Unless you want to go door-to-door like my neighbor did to sell raffle tickets, this is the next best thing. In our business it’s safer and will be more effective for you. A video to your members will definitely work better than the iPad, which was the grand prize for the raffle I’m entered in now.

If you’d like any additional advice about camming, please feel free to email me, shamilton@ffn.com and I’ll gladly discuss it.
