Media Rights Technologies (MRT) develops “superdistribution” technologies that claim to facilitate the safe and legal digital dissemination of intellectual property. SeCure Alliance DVD provides comprehensive and/or selective control of digital copyrighted material.
“By preventing unauthorized ripping, uploading and redistribution via peer-to-peer networks,” an MRT press release said, “SeCure Alliance DVD transparently yet solidly blocks age-inappropriate adult content from becoming available to minors.”
Unlike Finnish company Viralg’s namesake product which applies DRM before and after content is deployed in digital format, SeCure Alliance DVD claims to add general or specific controls beforehand. While these controls are not specific to adult content or even geared toward preventing children from viewing such content, the mainstream company seeks to make inroads into the adult industry by marketing the software as a preventive measure against underage viewing of adult content.
“In addition to ‘blanket control’ options, MRT's application features multiple provisions for selective security to manage value-added content,” the press release noted, “enhancing the DVD's value for both the end user and content owner.”
