LONDON — U.K. media regulator Ofcom on Thursday imposed a fine of 80,000 pounds (more than $100,000) against First Time Videos, which operates FTVGirls.com and FTVMilfs.com, for failing to implement age checks required for compliance with the Online Safety Act.
Ofcom opened an investigation in June 2025 in relation to the FTV sites. In March, the agency issued a provisional decision in the case.
Ofcom has now finalized that decision, fining the company 80,000 pounds for not having age checks in place.
In a statement, Ofcom Director of Enforcement George Lusty said, “Age checks are not optional, and are a cornerstone of our laws to protect children from harmful content, including pornography. We want to send a clear message to the industry that any company which fails to comply can expect to face similar enforcement action.”
Last month, the agency imposed fines totaling 600,000 pounds (more than $800,000) against adult site operator Youngtek Solutions for failing to implement age checks and respond to information requests as required for compliance with the OSA.
Earlier this week, Ofcom issued a provisional determination that the provider of xgroovy.com has failed to comply with age assurance requirements under the Online Safety Act, and gave the site’s operator 20 working days to respond. The agency initiated its investigation into xgroovy in September of last year.
