Canadian Documentary Focuses on Adult Webmasters

MONTREAL — Canadian production company Galafilm is shooting an eight-part series on adult webmasters, according to a release issued today.

Based in the world’s third largest adult entertainment production center, “Webdreams” follows Montreal’s online entrepreneurs as they go about their daily lives.

“We are getting a chance to see a first-hand account of these people who have chosen to make their sex lives available to the online community,” said producer Michael Kronish.

According to Kronish, the entrepreneurs profiled in the series range from those who began a business using a home computer and a webcam to those who travel the world in order to create and market material.

Each half-hour episode tries to balance both the personal and professional lives of the stars.

“The rift between their public and private lives is fascinating,” said Kronish.

Ziad Touma, winner of the 2003 Best Canadian Film or Video award for “Saved By The Belles” at the Toronto Inside Out festival, and Josh Dorsey, whose film “One Day” was nominated for Grand Jury Prize during the 2003 Slamdance International Film Festival, are directing the series.

Principal photography is scheduled to continue through November.

The show is slated to air on the Canadian channel Showcase in 2005.
