Pineapple Support, Streamate Partner for 'Self-Parenting' Support Group

LOS ANGELES — Pineapple Support and Streamate are hosting a free online support group focused on self-care for performers, titled "Self-Parenting: Becoming Your Own Safe Space."

The six-week group is being led by Pineapple Support therapist Dr. Monique and launched Aug. 3 at 12 p.m. (PDT). Sessions will take place weekly through Sept. 7.

"When life feels overwhelming, many of us long for comfort, reassurance, and guidance, often from sources outside ourselves," said Monique. "Self-parenting is the practice of turning inward to meet those needs by cultivating a supportive inner voice. Over our six weekly sessions, participants will explore how to become their own safe space, building the tools to offer themselves the comfort and guidance they need."

Pineapple Support founder Leya Tanit added, “So many people are incredibly good at showing up for others but far less practiced at showing up for themselves. This group is about learning to meet your own needs with the same care you'd offer someone you love. We're grateful to Streamate for sponsoring this group and helping us make it freely available to the community."
