xHamster to Hold 3-Day Fundraiser for Trans, Sex Worker Charities

LOS ANGELES — xHamster has announced a three-day fundraising event for trans and sex worker charities Friday, June 26 to Sunday, June 28, to celebrate Pride.

“We’re opening our cams to activism,” said xHamsterLive VP Alex Hawkins. “That weekend we’re offering special 15-30 minute slots for activists, artists, sex workers and LGBTQ+ content creators to broadcast to our users. What you do is up to you, but your ‘show’ will be featured in the thematic top slots of both xHamsterLive and our Pride partner, Stripchat.”

Event participants will also be promoted on xHamster's social media channels.

For activists, artists and displaced sex workers, Hawkins continued, “this is a chance to build your online following, raise awareness and generate money for the movement.”

Money raised through online activism along with additional donations from xHamster will be transferred to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, the Sex Workers Outreach Project and Rainbow Railroad.

“Sex workers — particularly trans and gender non-conforming sex workers of color — were on the front lines at Stonewall,” Hawkins explained. “This year, 50 years after those first Liberation Day marches, and it’s time again to bring them at the front!”

“Whether it’s a live cam, or a DJ set, all we ask is that you find a way to make it Pride-themed,” Hawkins concluded.
