xHamster Touts Custom Zoom Backgrounds for Cam Stars

LOS ANGELES — xHamster has released a packet of custom Zoom backgrounds, in SFW and racier NSFW versions, as an incentive for burgeoning cam stars and the curious who are exploring their adult biz options as they self-quarantine.

Towards that end, xHamster is touting over 20 custom backgrounds featuring cameras and casting couches, live cam backgrounds and tube site templates, leather gear and glory holes, designed to help newcomers experiment with the industry before they take the plunge.

Alex Hawkins, VP of xHamster, urged newcomers to practice caution and to do their research.

"While it's more mainstream than ever to be a cam or premium star, it's not a step to be taken lightly," he said. "We created a line of custom Zoom backgrounds to help would-be models see how they'd look on a tube or cam site. The backgrounds are a fun way to try it out, or see what the reactions of their friends, partner or family would be — before they hit upload."

"For those who decide that the adult industry isn't right for them, the backgrounds are still a great way to live out the fantasy with a socially distant partner," he continued. "With COVID-19, cam models are a bigger fantasy than ever. Our traffic rose nearly 20% during the shutdown. Regardless of whether people decide to cam for money, these backgrounds are a good way to get your partner's attention back."
