LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures is tub-thumping the release of the two-disc set of “Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody” featuring Kenzie Taylor in the heroic title role.
It is Braun’s milestone 60th parody. The title made its debut online last month, followed by the social media unveiling of a SFW trailer that revealed the return of Seth Gamble in his XBIZ Award-winning role as Deadpool. The trailer subsequently went viral and has garnered nearly 620,000 views.
Within days of its release, “Captain Marvel XXX” landed atop Adult DVD Empire’s Trending Videos chart.
Besides Taylor and Gamble, the “richly diverse” cast, a rep notes, includes Quinton James, Alex Legend, Lacy Lennon, Tyler Knight and Ramon Nomar with Ana Foxxx as Monica Rambeau and trans star Aubrey Kate as the Supreme Intelligence.
Lennon, a trained opera singer, also croons "Asses," the film's theme song and itself a parody of the "Deadpool 2" theme song "Ashes" performed by Celine Dion.
“This is so awesome!” Braun enthused. “The response from fans and critics has been absolutely incredible, and it’s the greatest reward for the months of hard work that myself and my cast and crew poured into this project.”
Braun praised his leading lady.
“Having Kenzie in the lead made all the difference; she not only embodied the character perfectly, but proved herself a fantastic actress and a consummate professional,” he said. “Her sex scenes are outstanding, her comedic timing is perfect and she also happens to be ridiculously hot. I honestly cannot say enough great things about her, she’s literally a superstar and I was beyond lucky to have her in my movie.”
The DVD set’s “stylish, gatefold sleeve package includes the epic feature presentation on the first disc,” said the rep, “while the second disc contains no less than ten bonus sex scenes, a variety of hardcore trailers and other content exclusive to the physical release.”
“True to the comics and once again exhibiting his fealty to the source material he so loves, Braun has pulled out all the stops to give audiences a far more sarcastic, badass and sexually adventurous Captain Marvel,” promised the rep.
