LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures has formally launched “Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody” with Kenzie Taylor in the heroic title role. It is Braun’s milestone 60th parody.
The “richly diverse” title made its debut online earlier this week, followed by the social media unveiling of its latest trailer that revealed the return of Seth Gamble in his XBIZ Award-winning role as Deadpool.
Within days of its release, “Captain Marvel XXX” landed atop Adult DVD Empire’s Trending Videos chart.
“For his 60th parody, Axel Braun pulled out all the stops and delivered the Captain Marvel that fans deserve: snarky, sassy and ridiculously sexy,” enthused a Wicked rep. “Featuring a star-making performance by Kenzie as Carol Danvers, amazing costumes, and a supporting cast led by Ana Foxxx as Monica Rambeau and transgender superstar Aubrey Kate as the Supreme Intelligence, ‘Captain Marvel XXX’ can fittingly be called the crowning achievement of the King of Parody.”
Braun reserved high praise for his leading lady. “It’s awesome to see so many people reacting so positively to the movie,” he said. “It’s an outpouring of love that validates all the hard work we put into this project, and all the credit goes to Kenzie. She inhabited the character as if it were a second skin and showed not only an outstanding level of professionalism but also some incredible acting range.”
“Being able to do comedy and drama equally well is not something that many actors can master,” he continued. “Kenzie absolutely owns this role, and I am just happy that I was able to capture her epic awesomeness!”
Taylor echoed his enthusiasm. "I am so beyond honored to have had a chance to work alongside the one-and-only Axel Braun. Getting to witness the tireless work of our cast and crew brought such joy into my life that is beyond words. This role holds a very special place in my heart, as I am a comic book fan and very passionate about performing. I hope that fans will be just as excited to watch the whole movie as I was by getting a chance to be a part of it."
Quinton James, Tyler Knight, Alex Legend, Lacy Lennon and Ramon Nomar join Gamble, Foxxx and Kate in filling out the star-packed supporting cast. Lennon, a trained opera singer, also croons "Asses," the film's theme song and itself a parody of the "Deadpool 2" theme song "Ashes" performed by Celine Dion.
Braun was particularly excited to recruit Gamble to don his Deadpool costume once more, despite “scorching heat and long hours.” He praised Gamble’s ability to play characters ranging from Luke Skywalker and Captain Boomerang to Mr. Hyde and Deadpool.
"Saying that he was phenomenal would be an understatement. We literally had to do dozens of takes just because the entire cast and crew kept cracking up," said Braun. "His threeway with Kenzie and Lacy Lennon is one of the best sex scenes I've ever shot. I cannot say enough good things about Seth. He's the best actor in the industry and a terrific performer who has always delivered for me. I dare anybody to pull off characters so diverse and to bring his level of commitment and consistency to an adult set. He is also a very close friend of mine, so he not only trusts and understands my vision, but he's also able to bring to the table ideas that perfectly integrate with it. Many of the funniest 'Deadpool XXX' lines are improvisations on his part, and I am so lucky and grateful to have had him in this movie!"
Braun described the film as “a far more sarcastic, badass and sexually adventurous Captain Marvel than the one portrayed by Brie Larson in the mainstream film version.”
