Tenga Announces Limited Edition Rainbow Cup for Pride 2019

TOKYO — Male pleasure product brand Tenga has announced the upcoming release of its annual Rainbow Pride Cup to celebrate Pride Month.

The pre-lubricated, disposable masturbation sleeve will be available worldwide for the month of June and will retail for $8.

This is the third Pride Cup from Tenga and the first to have a global release. The normally red Original Vacuum Cup will receive its annual makeover and don a rainbow patchwork style “quilt” of colors, “celebrating individuality and a strong, unifying connection,” said a rep.

This year’s motto “Unite with Pride: Proud Alone, Strong Together” was formulated around the term “QUILTBAG,” which stands for Queer/Questioning, Undecided, Intersex, Lesbian, Transgender/Transsexual, Bisexual, Allied/Asexual, Gay/Genderqueer. The lesser-known acronym was coined by Sadie Lee in a 2006 Diva Magazine article and was used to “represent a number of sexual minorities and their allies by encompassing a myriad of genders and sexualities,” said the rep.
