xHamster Celebrates 10 Years, Rolls Out Sale at Store

BOSTON — Adult tube site xHamster is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month.

Alex Hawkins, vice president of xHamster, said that after a decade online, xHamster can boast about its more than 4 million videos from 2 billion users in 197 countries.

xHamster “has helped lead the way for other tube sites and the adult industry in general,” Hawkins said.

Hawkins said that in the past 10 years, xHamster has lead as an example in the online space by  becoming one of the first sites to go to the secure HTTPS protocols. xHamster, he said, also has launched original, sex-related programming, including “Sex Factor,” a hit porn reality show; the SFW cartoon series “xHamsterland”; and the sex ed series “The Box.”

He noted that xHamster soon will offer a new useful function for users. It plans on debuting a new version of the site with a low-light “go dark” function that keeps nighttime visits discreet.

“We’re a different type of porn company, and invested in the well-being of our users,” Hawkins said. “Our users have responded to us. In the next 10 years, we hope to be the first adult company to become a mainstream media brand, with not just porn but original mainstream programming.

“We’ve grown so much in the past 10 years, and we’re dreaming big.”

In conjunction with the anniversary, xHamster has rolled out a sale at its company store.

For one week, through Friday, July 21, the xHamster store is offering 50-percent discounts on xHamster Beer and the xHamster fifi. The store also is offering a 35-percent break on xHamsterina, a life-size sex doll.
