BoysRoulette Releases Study on Virtual Sex

LOS ANGELES — Gay chat site BoysRoulette has released a study on how virtual sex experiences could potentially decrease STD rates in the United States.

The study looked into STD statistics in the U.S. between 2012 and 2015, a period in which hookup apps increased in popularity. It also showed recent growth in random chat sites such as BoysRoulette.com, concluding that a reduction in STD rates is possible if the trend of virtual sex over real-life casual hookups continues.

“The constant rise of STD rates in the United States over the last few years is a real concern,” said Shea Robins, press director for BoysRoulette. “We conducted this study to show that there are fun, attractive alternatives to meeting with strangers you meet on (hookup apps that eliminates) any risk of contracting an STD.”

BoysRoulette said it has “experienced a huge surge in popularity over the last 12 months.” The jump in traffic “demonstrates how more people are turning to virtual online sexual experiences rather than real-life meetups, with one strong reason being the fear of contracting an STD,” BoysRoulette said.
