VR3000.com Founder: 1,000 Paid Members in 30 Days

TAMPA, Fla. — The CEO and founder of adult virtual reality site VR3000.com today said that the platform has hit 1,000 paid members in its first month of business.

“This is the fastest I've ever seen an adult subscription website reach 1,000 paid customers, and we're just at the tip of the iceberg for what VR can mean to this industry," said Andy Alvarez, CEO and founder of VR3000 Studios and Webmaster Central.

"It hasn't been easy for companies to sell pre-recorded adult video online when there's so much content available for free. That reality has now changed in a big way because of VR."

After spending nearly two decades helping companies of adult entertainment monetize its video content online, Alvarez’s Webmaster Central saw an opportunity to launch an all-new venture centered around the promising emergence of VR technologies. He launched VR3000 Studios in July.

"Working with so many adult companies over the years, we've enjoyed a privileged position of insight into the typical growth patterns for adult companies," he said.

Researchers agree that the opportunity for VR is about to explode, with some estimates by firms like Digi-Capital putting the market size at about $30 billion by 2020. And adult entertainment is a logical niche for VR content; the industry has been routinely credited for driving adoption of prior new technologies like DVD players, high-definition videos and even the internet itself.

To create the kind of experience that resonates with a modern tech-savvy customer base, VR3000 is looking beyond the "porn star" model that is showing signs of age.

According to Alvarez, adult consumers want a more immersive and realistic fantasy that can't be delivered by a flat 2D screen.

"We're building an all new kind of experience for customers that puts them right in the middle of the action," Alvarez said.  "The creative process isn't like the one used for filming old flat porno flicks; we're pioneering all new ways to shoot videos specifically for VR playback.

“We're working with today's most popular live cam models, and delivering the kind of cutting edge experience that young adult consumers expect. This is the future of adult entertainment."

VR3000 Studios recently announced the launch of its affiliate program, VRBallers.com, which runs on NATS software and pays a 50 revshare for the life of referrals.
