Lovehoney Wins 2 XBIZ Awards

LOS ANGELES — Lovehoney’s pioneering approach to branding, marketing and selling sex toys has been recognized with two awards at the prestigious 2016 XBIZ Awards event, held last week in Hollywood.

Lovehoney won “Progressive Pleasure Products Company of the Year” for its ground-breaking approach to branding in the adult industry, while Lovehoney.com was crowned “Online Retailer of the Year” for the second year running.

Lovehoney co-founders Neal Slateford and Richard Longhurst were joined by friends and colleagues at the awards show.

“We are delighted to be named ‘Progressive Pleasure Products Company of the Year’ because it recognizes the bold vision that the entire Lovehoney team has for bringing sex toys to a mainstream audience,” Longhurst said. “It’s an honor to be named ‘Online Retailer of the Year’ for the second year running. We’re immensely proud of Lovehoney’s recent successes and we’re flattered that XBIZ and its readers have recognized them as well.”

Lovehoney has gone from strength to strength in recent years, thanks to its acquisition of major brand licenses such as “Fifty Shades of Grey” in 2012 and the visionary launch of Motörhead sex toys in 2015.

“Our Motörhead Pleasure Collection continues to attract mainstream media coverage from around the world and the toys have proven extremely popular,” Longhurst says. “We were deeply saddened to hear of lead singer Lemmy Kilmister’s recent passing. He was a legend in the rock world and will be sorely missed.”
