Booble Celebrates 3 Years in Business

LOS ANGELES — Adult content search engine Booble, which launched in January 2004, said it is celebrating its 3rd anniversary in the adult entertainment industry.

According to Booble CEO Bob Smart, the site which launched amid legal threats from mainstream search engine Google alleging trademark infringement, has become a success with fans.

In December, Booble hosted more than 3 million unique visitors, Smart said.

“Happy birthday to me, Booble is three,” Smart said. “The site turned out to be so popular, we turned it into a business.”

Having put its dispute with Google in the past, Booble now sports a cartoon logo with two “OOs” meant to reference the middle letters of the company’s name and serve as a launching pad for its monthly Booble Girl of the Month promotion.

Contenders for the Booble Girl of the Month mantle are asked to compete by placing their breasts in the appropriate spot in the company logo.

Porn star Jesse Jane won the title in December and will compete with 11 other Booble Girls for $5,000 and the title of Booble Girl of the Year in June.

In April, Smart said the company plans to add special celebrity guests to its monthly contest. Booble, which mixes sex with humor, views April as the most important month for the company because of April Fool’s Day.

To further continue the company’s dedication to humor, Smart said Booble publishes a blog written by former Screw Magazine Publisher Al Goldstein.

“Al pioneered the combination of humor, sex and overall outrageousness to which we aspire,” Smart said.

Recently, the company also put its weight behind a good cause, teaming with breast cancer charity b.a.b.e to raise more than $15,000 to combat the disease.

Porn stars Ron Jeremy, Seka, Tera Patrick, Aria Giovanni, Joanna Angel and Booble's October Cover Girl Catalina Cruz autographed Booble squeezable breast toys to raise the money.
