RedLightCenter Plans Virtual New Year’s Bash

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Utherverse Inc., the company that launched RedLightCenter this year, is planning a New Year’s Eve bash that will combine both the virtual world and the real world, company CEO Brian Schuster told XBIZ.

Called a "A Midwinters Night Dream,” the party is slated to take place in Vancouver’s Yaletown and will be simulcast into dance clubs and bars throughout the online virtual world of RedLightCenter.com.

“Those in the real party can interact with the virtual world, and those in the virtual world can see and interact with the real party people,” Schuster said. “We’re really blurring the lines there.”

In real-time, the party will be streamed online to an audience of around 200,000 RedLightCenter users, who must register for virtual attendance by Dec. 29.

In May, Utherverse launched RedLightCenter, a multiuser community where users can experience social interaction, unrestricted sex, and an array of stores that feature sex toys, condoms, adult videos and lingerie.

The site also includes a software option that provides an interface where users can create 3-D animated avatars, complete with a digital representation of themselves with their desired age, body, look and style.

"A Midwinters Night Dream” is expected to draw 400 people to Yaletown’s party venue Mini Yaletown with highlights such as fire eaters, Latin tango dancers, prizes and giveaways, and a live DJ.

Schuster said the New Year will also be welcomed in with an hourly ball drop and a countdown.
