Revenge Porn King Hunter Moore Indicted

LOS ANGELES — Revenge porn king Hunter Moore, founder of IsAnyoneUp.com, was arrested by FBI agents and indicted by a federal grand jury along with an alleged co-conspirator.

The indictment filed in California claims the pair conspired to hack into people’s emails to steal their nude photos and post them online.

Moore, 27, and his accused hacker, Charles "Gary" Evens, 25, were charged with seven counts of unauthorized access to a protected computer, and seven counts of aggravated identity theft.

According to the 15-count indictment, Moore is named in a conspiracy to "access a protected computer without authorization to obtain information for private financial gain." It alleges that Moore’s IsAnyoneUp.com revenge site posted nude photos taken from Yahoo and Gmail email addresses that Evens hacked into for a reported fee of $200 per week. The most Evens earned was reportedly $900.

The court document said Evens "would gain unauthorized access to the email accounts of hundreds of victims by various means, including 'hacking' into the victims' accounts, and obtain information, including nude pictures, belonging to the victims and stored on the victims' accounts.”

According to a New York Daily News report, an email exchange between Moore and Evens in October of 2011 reveals Evens telling Moore that the hacking he wanted him to do is illegal. But Moore told him to use "an anonymous Paypal account to avoid detection of their scheme and connection to each other."

If convicted of the charges, Moore and Evens can be sentenced to five years in a federal prison.
