Webbilling Implements Extended Fraud Check

CYBERSPACE — E.U. non-card payment leader Webbilling.com, has added country specific fraud prevention tools for Germany and the U.K.

“We are constantly working on lowering the risk of chargebacks,” said Joerg Forg, CTO of Webbilling.com. “Compared to credit card billing, direct debit holds a slightly higher risk of chargebacks and it is our primary goal to keep those as low as possible.”

Webbilling.com offers two billing methods for Europe: Direct Debit (where funds are withdrawn directly from the end customers’ bank accounts) and Advanced Direct Pay (where the user can take advantage of the ability to wire money to local bank accounts).

”Education in the credit and debt culture in Europe is the first step in understanding how the Webbilling solutions can add significant revenue to the bottom line of every ecommerce enterprise with EU traffic, without cannibalizing merchants’ credit card sales,” the company said.
