Harry 'Dravyk' Kenney Passes Away

LOS ANGELES — Longtime online adult industry veteran Harry "Dravyk" Kenney, CEO of Dirty Gloves, died last night of an apparent heart attack.

The announcement came in a post by longtime partner Electra on their website, All Of 'Em, and several industry message boards.

"Dravyk, Harry Kenney, CEO of Dirty Gloves, my friend and business partner for many years died at 10 p.m., Thursday January 15th. I was on the phone with him when he had a heart attack, and I was the one who called 911. Police and ambulance arrived at his home quickly and did their best to revive him but they couldn't."

"Harry was diagnosed with a serious rare heart ailment a couple of years ago and was on medication. The medication was not working and the next step was to be surgery. His mother passed away earlier this week and I think the stress was just too much for his heart to handle. I will miss him terribly. He was the most generous hearted person I ever knew. I don't know what else to say."

Nowhere was the outpouring of industry grief and support more noticeable than on the Netpond message board, where a procession of some of the industry's oldest players gathered to pay their last respects in a virtual wake of sorts. Here many familiar names took a moment to remember one of their own who was present at the beginning of online adult — and that left us far too soon.

Netpond's Meat perhaps said it best: "Drav was a top guy, a good guy in a grubby biz."

He will be missed.
