DENVER — CollabGPS has launched a badge system for user verification.
According to a rep, verified badges are now available in five categories: content creator, performer, media/podcaster, social media (SFW), and production support. ID verification is required to create a CollabGPS profile, while the professional badge system gives established users an additional way to verify their work and experience. New creators can still join, network, and build connections as they enter the industry.
“Some creators feel more comfortable when they can see that someone has an established track record, but I never wanted that to mean new people don’t belong here,” said CollabGPS founder Ted Buras. “The goal is to give users more information and more choice.
