(Un)Lucky in Love

CockyBoys
(Un)Lucky in Love

This breezy romantic comedy serves as a superb showcase for the abundant charm and sexual talents of Tayte Hanson, who appears in two of three passionate scenes.

CockyBoys won the 2021 XBIZ Award for "Best Gay Sex Scene" for "Lips Together — Six Feet Apart" costarring Angel Rivera. Jake Jaxson and RJ Sebastian were both 2021 “Gay Director of the Year” nominees, a category Jaxson has won three times. Rivera and Austin Wolf were both “Gay Performer of the Year” nominees.

Hanson signs up for a dating service after a comic series of failed attempts to find love; the handsome young hunk accidentally hooks up with wall-of-beef Austin Wolf and the latter, after they have sex, in an amusing twist, asks for the number of the other guy. Hanson notes with droll amusement the pair are still together.

Another time, Hanson arranges for a hookup with Rivera, who double-booked his sex dates because he fully expected one of them to flake. Rivera flips a coin and ends up with Roman Todd; Hanson again displays a bone-dry deadpan and reveals those two men are also still together.

Wolf physically towers over Hanson for a delicious display of Dom/sub sexual tension (the strong camerawork and editing here really drives it home). Hanson is the perfect sub, alert and responsive as they deep-throat and use their full body to keep up with Wolf, who builds a furious, grunting head of steam as he pounds away. Both cumshots are intense.

Todd looks like a droolworthy football player or ex-Marine with his muscular physique, buzzcut and butch swagger, but displays a tender, sensual side with Rivera; the latter has that effect on his scene partners. Despite the physical differences, they are a superb match. Rivera, like Hanson, more than keeps up with Todd and openly displays his pleasure and delight, which seems to spur on the topman.

The third and final scene is adorably charming. (Spoiler alert!) Hanson is fixed up with Brock Banks and their meet-cute reveals that Banks is a bearded drag performer. Hanson is unfazed and equally attracted to Banks in and out of drag. Their erotic connection is intense (and they look fan-fucking-tastic bulging out of tight, white briefs); kissing and body language, deep-throat oral and passionate fucking bubbles with erotic chemistry.

Hanson — blond and blue-eyed with a matinee-idol smile — is charmingly self-aware and a genuinely talented actor. They understand how to hold a camera. Hanson is also a giving and responsive sexual partner, whether the scenario calls for them to be submissive or dominant or asks for a back-and-forth exchange of energy.

A sprightly soundtrack and editing skillfully adds to the comic undertone of the piece, while camerawork includes a number of romantic, evocative images of New York in winter.

Synopsis:

In (Un)Lucky in Love, the beautifully talented Tayte Hanson stars as Lucky Jones, the unluckiest guy when it comes to the matters of love. Flouting "app convention," Lucky joins a video dating service and starts recounting his hilarious escapades during his interview - like how he "mistakenly" slept with porn star Austin Wolf while planning to hook up with someone else, or got double booked for sex. Will the stars ever align for Mr. Jones? (Un)Lucky in Love also features award-winners Angel Rivera, Roman Todd, and Brock Banks in a beautiful, head-turning performance.
