How to Monetize Your Private Messages

How to Monetize Your Private Messages

Hello, my name is Liliana and I have been camming on Chaturbate as Wildtequilla for five years! What started out as a fun hobby with my partner, has now turned into a full-time business that has brought me an amazing life that I never could have imagined. I have over a million followers on Chaturbate and an amazing community of fans and tippers that support me every day.

I have learned a lot of tips and tricks over the years on how to engage tippers, nurture relationships with fans and grow my fanbase. There are a lot of things that go into becoming a successful cam model, but one tip I want to share with you today is how to monetize your private messages right on your cam site. Your public chat is always important and will help you reach your goals; however, it’s important not to forget about PMs and the power they have to cultivate relationships with your fans and help earn more tokens.

Your public chat is always important and will help you reach your goals; however, it’s important not to forget about PMs and the power they have to cultivate relationships with your fans and help earn more tokens.

THE IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING YOUR PMs OPEN

If fans want to reach me personally, they need to pay, and so my PMs are open only for important questions and for my fan club members and biggest tippers. I give them special access for always supporting me and it’s a symbolic way to show my appreciation with little effort.

Before I get a private show request, a custom video request or someone wishing to purchase my panties, they typically PM me to ask questions about the transaction. Some people want to know if I can perform their fetishes or if I can do a squirt show, you name it. Some people are too embarrassed to talk about their kinks in the public chat, so a direct PM is a great tool to engage. It’s typically the first point of contact before a sale.

Private messages also help engage top tippers and help to nurture my relationship with them, generating sales. If someone sends me a big tip, I typically send them a personal private message thanking them. That tip is important to them, and it’s crucial to show your appreciation and give them special attention. I’ll ask them about their day, what they want to see from me and anything to engage with them and get to know them more. Users are there for the community and personal connections, so it’s important to nurture those relationships.

SETTING A PRICE FOR PMs

My cam room can get extremely busy, so I set a price for PMs as I don’t want to miss special requests. If a user wants to PM me they have to pay 41 tokens. I put this price on my tip menu as well so everyone knows they can reach me privately, but that they need to pay first.

I choose 41 tokens as my price as it’s an obtainable number for everyone to spend but still high enough that I don’t get spam messages. I just picked a random number. I suggest picking one in a range that works for your cam room and isn’t too high. Since you have to go through all your PMs during a live show, you want to make sure the price is right.

MONETIZING YOUR PMs

Another way to monetize your PMs is by charging users to view the images they send in chat. If a user sends a personal photo in PMs, there is an option to view the photo; it doesn’t just open. You can ask them to send a token amount before you open the photo. This is a great way to make money from the many dick pics you receive.

If someone wants to see more of me, I invite them to share their cam with me via “cam-to-cam.” I charge 399 tokens for five minutes during a live show, even though I always end up doing it for longer. People love to be watched and to share their cam with you. When I’m in a public show, I typically don’t even acknowledge or mention them, as I’m busy with my show, but this feature is great for private shows where you can interact and have a more intimate conversation. I find a lot of cam models are scared of cam-to-cam, but it’s just a person on the other end. They are in a little box on the screen. Don’t be scared to test it out and see for yourself.

PMs are an important tool. Just remember that it’s your cam show, your room and you set the rules. Don’t get overwhelmed by all the requests you receive, set boundaries with your users and don’t be afraid to test out different strategies if something isn’t working for you. That way you can make sure your PMs are working to your advantage.
