The Art of Camming During Your Period

The Art of Camming During Your Period

It’s that time of the month again. You have to make your regular appearance on cam to keep those tokens rolling, but the dreaded “shark week” has just begun, thus spoiling your special dildo play plans. Sounds familiar? No need to panic. You can still go online and make some relevant loot during your monthly flow.

Yes, most cam sites prohibit showing any kind of blood, including the menstrual variety. And on top of all this, cramps, mood swings and other factors might not be helping you feel especially motivated either. But please know that there are some proven, successful methods that allow you to still go live and stay on the grind despite your period.

Sex isn’t all about vaginas, and for that matter, camming isn’t all about sex. There are tons of shows you can still offer without even taking your panties off.

Disclaimer: the following methods apply only to those ladies who don’t get hit hard by their menstruation cycle. If you experience severe symptoms that throw you off your game, be gentle and allow yourself a break.

Host An ‘Alternative’ Show

Sex isn’t all about vaginas, and for that matter, camming isn’t all about sex. There are tons of shows you can still offer without going anywhere near your vajayjay or even taking your panties off. Just get creative and try something new. What about declaring it “fetish week” or “BJ week”? Variety is the spice of life, so users will surely appreciate a nice shift.

Platforms often got you covered with tip menu presets to save you time and planning, whether it’s a regular show or one with non-vaginal activities during period days. Also, don’t be afraid to hint your situation to users. Periods are a completely normal event in a woman’s life and everyone knows it, so it’s okay if your pussy’s taking a break. Just be clear before viewers enter your show, so that they know what to expect. “Your favorite orifice is out of commission” in the room’s topic would do the trick.

There's No Shame In Using a Tampon

If you want to live that nudity life no matter what, tampons are the solution to be naked and even spread-eagled while menstruating. You can either conceal the string so that is out of sight, or trust your community to be okay with it visible. After all, if you’ve trained your viewers right and they’ve developed a strong connection with you, there’s no shame! That being said, this is probably not the best time to go for vaginal penetration, but anal will always be an option on the table to turn to. You can also stick to clitoral stimulation and other forms of outside play.

Make Use of Menstrual Sponges

If you’ve never heard of sponges before, prepare to behold the magic of a menstrual sponge and have your mind blown. Sponges are extensively used by all kinds of sex workers to stop the blood from coming out. It is very important that you get a high quality and sterilized sponge though.

The sponge is shoved up the vagina and it acts like a tampon absorbing the blood, except that it’s soft. To remove it, you must find a comfortable position, hook a finger around the sponge and pull it out. Don’t freak out if you’re unable to reach it straight away; the sponge is too big to be going anywhere, so there’s no chance you will lose it. It takes some practice, but it will eventually come out. Just make sure you don’t tense up and try removing the sponge using different fingers and in different positions.

With the menstrual sponge you can offer light penetration to your audience. Fingers will also work fine.

Give Soft Cups a Try

These ones can also be a lifesaver. They can be messier than sponges since they don’t absorb (they only block your cervix so that nothing leaks past), but on the other hand, they are easier to remove. They also allow some penetration, although if you’re thinking about using toys, you may want to use smaller ones to prevent the toy from hooking under the cup and pulling it out.

But the real deal comes with the flat menstrual cup. What makes it different than a regular menstrual cup, you ask? Its spherical form makes it easier to insert, and most importantly, it can be pushed up against the cervix, making period sex both possible and mess-free. If you have any other tricks that also work, I’d love to know and hear about your personal experience. Feel free to drop me a line anytime!
