Web Depot: TurboTabs, Responsiveness Modernizes Tabbed Navigation

A jQuery plugin that offers plenty of options for generating responsive tabs, TurboTabs features easy to follow HTML markup, which allows jQuery to do all the magic, transforming the tabs into an accordion on smaller devices with an option to use the plugin as an accordion instead of a tab. An active tab is specifiable on page load for a unique navigational layout, while custom icons can dress up the tabs.

Lightweight, at only 5kb in its minified version, TurboTabs features an online code builder with several options — including customizable colors for tabs, text, content and labels, hover effects, and choices of horizontal, vertical or accordion mode for the tabs. Numerous animation options, title text shadows and prebuilt dark and light themes are available. Each page can contain multiple instances of TurboTabs, as long as each instance receives a unique ID. TurboTabs, developed by Aleksej Vukomanovic, is compatible with Bootstrap and Foundation, and a WordPress compatible plugin version is available.
