CumOnLive Bets on Porn Stars

In casino craps games, “come” bets give the best odds. So it stands to reason that new Vegas web company CumOnLive, and its founder and front-person Johnny Dice are betting that its name will be lucky as it rolls into the online sex game.

“What we want to do is give back to fans, and cater to our porn star performers,” says Dice, the Bronx-born founder and permanent Vegas resident of parent company Desert Star Media LLC.

The CumOnLive crew feel that they have that covered as well, planning to bolster foot traffic through porn stars’ social media efforts along with traditional website traffic generators.

With his catchword phrase, “Stay Horny My Friend,” playing off of the popular Dos Equis beer commercial character The Most Interesting Man in the World’s tag line, Dice is positioning himself and his new company as a fresh alternative to the myriad live websites.

“I want our site to be different, to interact with the fans. On most sites fans are just anonymous user names and passwords. Ours will be different. Fans will be able to identify with me — Johnny Dice — and know there’s a real human that they can contact and see in person,” Dice says.

How he and partner, Internet veteran Pierre Vincent, plan to make a their name in the competitive market involves a unique combination of offering fans and site members free, exclusive and licensed streaming 30-40 minute hardcore scenes, live shows and special contests where fans can meet and date stars in Vegas.

Their business mantra and website tagline says it all: “Where Virtual Becomes Reality.”

“I’ve always wanted to start a webcam company, but I wanted something different. My vision is to have fans interact with the stars — that’s the key,” Dice says.

The founder explains that the new site — set for a mid-February launch — will give visitors free access to the scenes interspersed with banners for the special event fan contests.

“We’re going to be giving fans the opportunity to meet — and have a date — with their favorite porn stars right here in Las Vegas. This is something that’s never been done before and what makes us special,” Dice says.

The first fan contest is scheduled to be held on March 1 when for a $ 5 entry fee, fans will be included in a contest to win the porn star date. The more times a fan enters, the more chances he has to win, Dice explains.

And CumOnLive foots the whole bill. The company pays for all of the winner’s expenses to Vegas, puts him up in the same hotel accommodations as the stars’ and sets up the date that will include a sumptuous dinner.

The big payoff to contestants is a porn fan’s dream come true considering the impressive lineup of stars who’ve already expressed strong interest in signing on to the company’s contest including Jesse Jane, Sunny Leone, Nikki Benz, Puma Swede, Lisa Ann and about a dozen more.

Attracting such popular talent for a start-up is due largely in part to Dice’s partner Vincent, a long-time web pro and promotional wizard who’s engineered online sex site creation and production. Among Vincent’s many mainstream accomplishments was a stint as tour manager for European bands including the Ozz Fest Tour in 2001.

His extraordinary talent for promotion helped land him gigs with major adult companies including Danni.com (acquired by Penthouse), Teravision, Marc Dorcel and more.

Most recently, Vincent was the director of operations of Silent Stream Media’s cam site, CamMansion.com where he helped launch the website in 2011.

Vincent’s achievements also include the founding of talent agency VM Entertainment in 2005, where he booked shows in Vegas for L.A. stars, cementing his relationships with performers that’s been the key to the providing CumOnLive with the industry’s most desirable talent.

Dice says of his partner, “I caught Pierre just at the right time — he was available and I was ready. He’s amazing. He’s the Michael Jordan of the cam world.”

Vincent recalls, “I met Johnny five years ago. Back then I was working for Danni.com (Penthouse) and he was running strip clubs on the east coast. We always wanted to work together and couple of months ago, we came up with the CumOnLive idea. It made sense to join forces and finally build a platform that caters to the fans and the porn stars. The ‘Virtual Becomes Reality’ concept feeds a strong demand, and we are here to make it happen properly.”

But it’s not just relationships that are drawing the big names to the new operation. Dice’s proclamation that he wants to cater to porn stars is far more than simply treating them well and offering them the opportunity to be financially flush.

CumOnLive is also offering its stars free health insurance — a novel and groundbreaking idea for the industry and a welcome benefit in a challenged economy.

CumOnLive is offering the benefit to top models “who stay around for the long haul.” It’s a way for them to become ingrained in the CumOnLive “family,” according to Dice who exhibits a genuine paternal care for talent.

And if that’s not enough, the site is offering performers bonuses, custom profiles, websites for selected girls, the ability to set their own schedules and what the principals feel is one of the site’s highlights — the ability for stars to shoot their own feature movies.

And star maker is also on the company’s to-do list.

CumOnLive also extends an opportunity for new talent who demonstrate a strong following and passion for the platform to become stars themselves. Dice says that once a girl establishes herself as a popular draw on the site, she can earn her own website and participate in the extra bonuses.

To make girls even more comfortable, CumOnLive is also providing a full-service talent agency.

Vincent explains that the agency will be it’s own separate entity under the umbrella of Desert Star Media.

But as all seasoned website owners know, a site — especially a new venture — will live and die on the traffic it can generate.

And the CumOnLive crew feel that they have that covered as well, planning to bolster foot traffic through porn stars’ social media efforts along with traditional website traffic generators.

Vincent says, “As soon as we go live, we will first buy our traffic as well as benefit from the adult stars fan base using the 1 percent [response] rule. We have a solid online marketing strategy in place with tube sites and major affiliate programs in order to direct traffic towards our VOD section. Our content will be exclusive and we have sufficient funding to really generate a strong buzz in our niche market.”

Building Sustainable Revenue Without Opt-Out Cross-Sales

Existing merchants submitting new URLs with opt-out cross-sales are being asked to remove them.
