Al4A/Worldsex Owner Acquires 45 Percent Share of AskJolene

EINDHOVEN, The Netherlands — Dreamclub, owner of top TGPs Worldsex.com and Al4A. com, has purchased a 45 percent stake in search engine AskJolene.com.

AskJolene search capabilities will be offered to Worldsex and Al4A visitors in a rebranded form that is fully integrated with the look and feel of those sites.

Toine Verheul, CEO of AskJolene, told XBiz that he and his business partners were contacted by representatives of Dreamclub, who said they liked the search engine’s concept so much that they wanted to buy a share of the company.

To Verheul, the deal, which combines AskJolene’s technology with Dreamclub’s global reach, simply made sense.

“[Dreamclub’s involvement] fits with our strategy to enlarge our market and reach more unique visitors, and we believe that adult search for galleries fits very well into a TGPs strategy as well,” Verheul told XBiz. “You’ve got best of both worlds on one side.”

As part of the deal, the Dreamclub sites will become part of AskJolene’s white label program, which also includes AmplandMovies.com and El-Ladies.com. Verhaul compared the program to Google’s in terms of the value it brings to advertisers.

“It’s a good proposition for advertisers,” he said. “They are buying not only a banner on a TGP, but also keyword-driven traffic from people who are interested only in adult content.”

Verhaul said AskJolene fields around 4 million queries each day and offers surfers access to 900,000 different galleries. By serving its pay-per-click results with a fully featured search engine, he said the company can deliver highly target traffic.

“It will help webmasters to target their audience better than standard TGP,” Verhaul added. “We can target search queries to paid advertisers with related queries. So a webmaster can buy the query ‘blonde lesbians with black stockings,’ and we can deliver, say, 30,000-40,000 queries each month for that specific query. Or, if they want mass traffic, they can buy general keywords.”
