LOS ANGELES — Island Conference has signed on as an in-kind media sponsor for the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP).
ASACP is a nonprofit organization that has worked to promote online child safety for the past 29 years. It relies on the support of numerous companies, organizations, and individuals committed to protecting children from online harm.
“We believe that protecting minors online is a shared responsibility that starts with awareness, accountability, and action from all stakeholders,” said an Island Conference rep. “Creating awareness and taking active steps to keep children away from inappropriate content is a shared responsibility across the industry.”
Added ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning, “The dedication of these industry leaders to safeguarding young people’s innocence, while honoring adults’ choices, is creating a notable difference. Protecting the innocence of youth online isn’t just about preventing access to the most mature content; it also involves educating and empowering all industries that feature age-restricted or other adult-themed topics. Here, Island Conference’s support will significantly benefit the association.”
