Tantus’ Element Line Debuts

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Husband and wife team Metis Black and Mike Smith, who own and operate novelty company Tantus, Inc., have an original way of coming up with new designs for their line of silicone novelty items — they fuck.

The pair have recently debuted the company’s Element Line, a series of smaller, vibrating toys.

“Metis and I are very sexual, we enjoy our love life,” Smith told XBIZ. “We don’t design knockoffs of other company’s toys. We fuck. And we actually play with toys. We test them out and if we find flaws we find a way to make them better.”

Two new vibes have been introduced from the Element Line — the Delta and Theta vibrators. The vibes are the first toys the company has launched with both internal and external stimulations.

The Delta vibrator features a clitoral stimulator that flutters against the clit while the ¾ inch by 3-inch finger presses against the G-spot. Recommended for solo or couples play, it features a removable vibrator that can be easily replaced or upgraded to a multi-speed unit.

The Theta vibe features a head that plays on the vaginal nerve pack as it slides in an out. The curve of the shaft mimics the curves of the user’s body. Each vibe features a newly designed ergonomic, grooved base that holds the user’s thumb, designed and angled for a “uniquely comfortable experience.”

“The vibe base on the Element line has a unique integrated handle,” Smith told XBIZ. “So it fits comfortably in your hand and works with your body for better angles and sensitive areas. We design our toys with the human body in mind. We listen to customers so we can make better toys. The industry doesn’t drive us. The customer drives us.”

Tantus , founded in 1998, offers a line of vibrators, dildos, plugs, kits, specialty items and a special “just for boys” line. The company’s anatomically targeted toys are handmade from 100 percent ultra-premium platinum silicone. All Tantus toys are hypoallergenic, hygienic, phthalate free, odorless, tasteless, boilable, bleachable and dishwasher safe.

“Our toys are designed for people who want to have a healthy sexual lifestyle,” Smith said.
