New Frontier Reports Record Revenue

BOULDER, Colo. — Adult content cable and satellite distributor New Frontier Media reported the strongest revenue quarter in the company’s history. The company raked in $17.9 million for the quarter that ended Dec. 31, representing an 8 percent increase from the same quarter the previous year.

New Frontier serves as the parent company to The Erotic Networks (TEN) and is the distributor of Penthouse TV and other adult channels.

The company’s latest earnings report demonstrates a strong turnaround from New Frontier’s second quarter results, which had revenue dropping to $12.4 million. “We are pleased with the financial results and performance of our business in the third quarter," New Frontier CEO Michael Weiner said. “The film production segment had a very strong quarter as expected, and our transactional TV segment continues to execute well in a very competitive market.

We believe this segment has now stabilized and is poised to resume a growth trend in our next fiscal year as we experience results connected with our recent launch of an additional channel on the nation's largest DBS platform.”

Transactional TV, the company’s adult sector, reported a revenue decline of 12 percent from the same quarter during the previous year.
