Webmaster Access West Swings Into Gear

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The West Coast version of the now-global group of Webmaster Access events has begun.

Held once again at the very amenable Universal Sheraton Hotel in Universal City, Calif., the L.A. edition takes place predominantly in the lobby of the hill-top venue, where a sizable gathering of industry folk engage in both planned and impromptu meetings throughout the day. There are other quieter more private areas in which to congregate, of course, but the lobby has long since become the anointed spot.

Wednesday was golf day. About 60 attendees from all areas of the industry gathered at the beautiful Robinson Ranch Country Club for what was reported to be a gloriously windy day of golf. The event was sponsored by MatrixContent, CamZ, Epoch, PornDeals, NetBilling, SmashBucks, WebQuest and OC3 Networks.

This year, AVN Online has coordinated the WA educational offerings. The schedule yesterday included two seminars — Where’s the Traffic and Newbies: Keys to Success — and one workshop — CMS and How it Can Help You.

Today's seminars include Content Is King, from 10 a.m to 11:30 a.m., and Processing Updated, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The workshop is on Recognizing Your Traffic Trends, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The show already has seen its share of parties, as well. Wednesday featured the peripatetic Porn Poker Tour Opening Night Party, sponsored by Eroticy, Dating Gold, CamZ, NETbilling, Erevcard, & IwantU and the Cybersocket Kickoff Party, sponsored by Epoch, IM Live, Matrix Content and Gay Greenbacks.

Last night, an exuberant crowd of attendees was bussed down the hill for Get Lucky Late Night!!! at Lucky Strike, a unique club that features bowling alleys in the back. A stellar list of leading adult companies each had their own private lanes. The club filled up by midnight and everyone seemed to be having a great time bowling and boozing. The party also featured a silent charity auction to benefit Webmaster Toy Run.

Get Lucky Late Night!!! was put on by sexentertain.com and matrixcontent.com, with help from sponsors wickedbucks.com, cecash.com, blazingbucks.com occash.com nscash.com, adultstarprofits.com and www.mansionproductions.com.

Today features more seminars and networking, and tonight the centerpiece of WA West, the invitation-only 2nd Annual Playboy Mansion PJ and Lingerie Party.

Today also features the SafeCharge and FlashCash Webmaster Networking BBQ, being held at 1 p.m. Bon appetite!
