Matrix Content Names Stephen Bugbee as President

CALABASAS, Calif. — Matrix Content has named 10-year adult industry veteran Stephen Bugbee as president. Bugbee will spearhead numerous projects at the content provider, including the launch of a leased feeds program, MatrixFeeds, and the subscription-based site MatrixHD.com slated to launch in early 2008.

“Matrix Content is a fantastic brand with a second to none content library,” Bugbee said. “I look forward to working with the Matrix team on some new and exciting projects. We will be launching MatrixContent 2.0 very soon, which will expand the search capabilities of our content licensing site MatrixContent.com. MatrixFeeds, a leased feeds program, will follow close behind. Then with the start of the New Year, Matrix will unveil MatrixHD.”

Bugbee comes to Matrix Content with a wealth of industry experience. He previously served as vice president of sales for the GigaCash affiliate program and was the media relations representative for XBIZ right before joining Matrix. He also founded the X2K Media Group in 1998 after leaving the Digital Island Channel program.

Bugbee’s experience extends to helping numerous production companies take its DVDs online as well as handling authoring, replication and distribution for companies like Playboy and Bang Bros. Bugbee’s resume also boasts positions on the Board of Directors and consulting services for numerous adult and mainstream projects like 110 Media, Emuzed, Coca-Cola, Rocket Cash, Carsey/Werner and King World.

“We are counting on Bugbee’s vast experience and expertise in numerous aspects of the adult industry,” Matrix Content CEO Norman Bentley said. “His strong relationships throughout the industry will also be a key factor in Matrix Content growing to its full potential.”

Among the first of the company’s planned rollouts, MatrixHD.com will be a subscription-based site offering Matrix’s full content library as well as exclusive footage with behind-the-scenes and daily on-set updates.

Matrix Content was founded in 1998 with a focus on creating high-quality content for licensing or purchase. Matrix has been shooting in high-definition since 2004, and its library includes thousands of videos and photo sets.

Bugbee can be reached at bugbee@matrixhd.com.
