New Frontier Media, Private Strike Exclusive Distro Deal

BOULDER, Colo. — In one of the largest exclusive content deals of the year, New Frontier Media said Monday it will broadcast Private Media Group’s entire library for its video-on-demand, pay-per-view and IPTV properties.

Barcelona-based Private has more than 1,000 titles and is one of the largest global adult entertainment companies.

New Frontier distributes adult videos through its Erotic Networks brand, with seven 24-hour pay-per-view networks, to cable and satellite operators across the U.S.

The Boulder, Colo.-based company also provides video-on-demand content to numerous cable and satellite platforms, reaching 139 million network homes.

It also owns and operates a digital broadcast infrastructure for IPTV and wireless networks worldwide.

New Frontier CFO Karyn Miller did not immediately return calls to XBIZ. The company, in a release, did not disclose how much the deal was valued at.

But, in a statement, Private COO’s Peter Cohen said New Frontier's “superior distribution networks in the U.S. make it the ideal partner for Private as we seek to expand our reach in North America."

"We are confident that our high quality content will provide compelling new entertainment options to the consumer compared to what is currently available in the U.S.," he said.
